Five Minute Life Update Solely for Laura Deshauntel-Koryna Smith

And begin...

Okay, it's 8:33 and I have to write for five solid minutes, no more, no less.

What on earth has been going on since my last update? Well, I have a niece (edit: I had to go to google to checke the spell of "niece") now. Her name is Mia Elaina Carver. She's a cute, while whiny, little bugger. She will be six months old in a few weeks.

I am at work at Camp Paradise Valley right now. This is my fourth year on staff. My first two years I was a counselor. This year my title is the same as it was last year - Program Director. I enjoy the position and the work very much. If I could do this for the rest of my life, I totally would. It's incredible.

I finished this past semester with 4.0 after having a few bad semesters. I changed majors from English to Sociology.

I wish I could farm and milk sea cows.

I want to be in love again.

I'm terrified of failure and I have a significant amount of self-loathing with which I need to deal.

Sometimes I think a life at sea is the life for me.

I need to get closer to God. I've slipped away a bit in my daily walk.

I love Kentucky.

I have gone over by 2 minutes.

Gotta work now.

Take care Laura.

Cordially,

I Remain,

As Always,

Incredibly,

Edward A. Ekhardt

Finally, the truth.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I have always been vaguely dissappointed that my initials don't spell anything cool. Freaking vowels.

Blasphemy!

I thought it would be wise to make a few comments on religion, since that is what I want to do right now. A lot of discussion happens regarding why exactly God hates the world. (We must of course operate from the well-known and generally believed\ assumption that God does in fact hate the world). Why do cute puppies die? Why is genocide not carried out on North Dakotans? Why on earth did Chris Gaines ever make an album? Why do Heely's exist? All of these unanswerable questions point to God thoroughly hating all of us on the globe. I never could figure out why. Sure I thought it was likely that The esteemed Mr. Fred Phelps of godhatesfags.com had it right and I was fairly certain that it was mostly the Jews fault. Until tonight. Tonight I found the answer I was seeking. Never before have I been so repulsed and disgusted in my 20 some odd years as a Christian. Here it is fellow humans. Here is the reason:

Yes. That is happening. They are 61% complete. The projected completion date, a little known December 12, 2012. Seem fishy? I think not.

Now, in the words of Aristotle, "The more he looked inside, the more Piglet wasn't there." Nicomachean Ethics, 1928.

Cheers,

The Ignoble Edward
